Process control sensor and simpler stand-alone
controller applications have been developed for hadrware
based on the use of single chip microcontrollers
interfaced to memory and I/O devices either directly or
via a I2C bus.
Machine automation, instrumentation and data collection
applications have been developed on VME and PC based
platforms running a real-time operating system.
Applications have typically involved distributed I/O and
control, with communications based on CANbus or direct
serial interfaces ( RS422/455/232 ). |
